Jiffie
Content curation and distribution
Freelance
Imagine a social app that combines the best features of TikTok, Reddit, WhatsApp, and Telegram all in one place. With its innovative content display, users can easily scroll through short-form videos and discover new creators. The forums feature allows for open discussions on a wide range of topics, with the ability to upvote and downvote content for a personalized experience. The texting functionality enables private conversations with friends and family, while the groups feature makes it easy to connect with like-minded individuals around shared interests. This app offers an all-in-one social experience that is both dynamic and versatile, making it the perfect platform for anyone looking to connect and engage with others.
My Role
User Interface Design

I was contacted to redesign the existing interface of the Jiffie app. After evaluating the state of the current design, I created sketches to guide the new design direction. I also put together a component library to ensure design consistency.
Design System
This was a brief documentation of recurring components and design elements throughout the application. The design system was also built to ensure a smooth hand-off process.

Conclusion
Although this project was UI-focused, a lot of thought was put into the usability, and also the feasibility of design elements, I had to make sure the flows were buildable by the developers and usable for the users. I also considered accessibility and existing mental models to reduce the learning curve for users.
Overall, this was an interesting project to work on, because it was complex and had a lot of depth, I worked on a tight schedule and had to manage collaborations with other team members.
One thing I believe could have been done better was conducting proper tests with the desired target audience in order to further fine-tune some of the existing features.
If you would like to see the entire design, please feel free to send me an email and I'd be happy to walk you through it.
